HolisticPet was founded by veterinary surgeon Siobhan Menzies to provide safe, effective complementary therapies for pets, without the side effects often seen with conventional medication. Early on, she found that animals most in need were those living with pain, reduced mobility, and poor exercise tolerance—many of whom had already tried standard treatments with limited success.

Acupuncture quickly became a cornerstone of HolisticPet’s care, delivering notable improvements in pain relief and mobility. Building on this success, Siobhan expanded the practice to offer a full range of therapies, including laser therapy, PEMF, physiotherapy, physical rehabilitation, the Emmett Technique, and hydrotherapy with an underwater treadmill.

HolisticPet NI now runs dedicated pain management and rehabilitation clinics in partnership with veterinary practices across Northern Ireland, accepting referrals from vets locally and further afield.

In 2023, Siobhan relocated to Kent, establishing a multimodal pain management clinic at the Holistic Vet Medicine Centre in East Hoathley and launching the HolisticPet Kent Veterinary Rehabilitation Clinic in Goudhurst. These centres provide an integrated approach to pain management, offering acupuncture, laser therapy, PEMF therapy, and physiotherapy.

Today, HolisticPet NI and HolisticPet Kent remain dedicated to reducing pain, restoring mobility, and improving quality of life. Working closely with referring vets, our team tailors multimodal treatment plans to each individual patient.
